A significant expansion of arbitrability is changing the international arbitration landscape in Ukraine. Maria Hauser-Morel and I discuss these developments in our article, published in the inaugural issue of International Arbitration Perspectives, a new monthly journal on international arbitration from LexisNexis.

Over the past week, I had the opportunity to discuss the 2024 IBA Guidelines on Conflicts of Interest with arbitration practitioners, in-house counsel and judges across Tashkent, Almaty and Bishkek.

I have contributed the Ukraine chapter to the Chambers Global Practice Guide: International Arbitration 2026, providing an up-to-date overview of the legal and procedural framework for international arbitration in Ukraine.

On 12 September 2026, the TAA, with the support of the IBA and the International Court of Arbitration CCI Kyrgyzstan, will host a Master Class on the IBA Guidelines on Conflicts of Interest in International Arbitration in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

On 10 September 2026, the Narxoz University School of Law and Public Policy, together with the TAA and the KIA, with the support of the IBA, will host a Master Class on the IBA Guidelines on Conflicts of Interest in International Arbitration in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
